Marvel confirmed yesterday that Cabin In The Woods director Drew Goddard left the Netflix series Daredevil in early march, amid lots of speculation caused by Edgar Wright’s parting ways with Marvel’s Ant-Man earlier last week.

We now know that Stephen S. DeKnight creator of the hit Starz series Spartacus has taken over as executive producer and showrunner of Daredevil.  The general rumormill reason Goddard left was when he was assigned to Sony’s planned Sinister Six spin-off movie that still hasn’t officially been announced yet, despite many MANY hints.  Marvel Studios is currently looking for a director for the pilot episode of what’s planned to be five 13-episode series for Netflix, which will be joined by Jessica Jones,  Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.

We will do our best to keep you informed as this story progresses.
