Southern California residents and Disney enthusiasts have been anxiously awaiting news of a possible reopening date for parts of the Disneyland park and resort for several months. Despite CA Governor Gavin Newsom‘s most recent set of guidelines for various large-scale theme parks which would theoretically place Anaheim in a stricter-level tier (due to the high positive rate still happening in the county), Disney is deciding to open additional areas for guests.

You can read the most recent set of reopening guidelines for California theme parks here.

The Downtown Disney area has had several shops and restaurants open for a few weeks, requiring guests to have full face masks, mandatory temperature checks and additional steps to keep everyone safe. Social distancing is enforced by the Downtown Disney security patrols.

Announced today on the official Parks Blog, Disneyland says they will be opening parts of Buena Vista Street in the California Adventure side of the park, for additional shopping and dining options for guests.

The shops that will be open include Elias & Co., Julius Katz & Sons, and Kingswell Camera shop. The dining experiences include Trolley Treats, Cathay Circle, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe, and Smokejumpers Grill.

As the blog points out, guests can familiarize themselves with the actual Disney-posted guidelines for visiting.
