Warner Bros. Pictures has released what they’re touting as the ‘final’ trailer for the upcoming film, “Blue Beetle.” The film, which is the second-to-last in the pre James Gunn, Peter Safran-led DC Studios block, has been delayed more than once.

The important thing though is it stars Xolo Maridueña ( “Cobra Kai“) as as Jaime Reyes, the first Latino superhero lead for the studio! We’re also getting Harvey Guillén and Susan Sarandon, so it’s already shaping up to be a pretty interesting movie.

Angel Manuel Soto directs from a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (“Miss Bala”), based on characters from DC Comics. John Rickard and Zev Foreman are producing, with Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman, and Garrett Grant serving as executive producers.

“Blue Beetle” will hit theaters on August 18th, 2023.
