Danny Elfman Teases “Doctor Strange 2” “Wizard of Oz” Set in New Photo

We’ve known for sometime that the one and only Danny Elfman was handling the score for Sam Raimi‘s upcoming foray into Marvel Studios- “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.” It really seems like the perfect union- Elfman’s unique and oftentimes dreamy soundscapes, Raimi’s visionary style, and a MCU character who exhibits strange and magical properties.

Imagine our surprise this morning when Elfman posted a lovely little (and short) update on his official Facebook page teasing a set we weren’t expecting to see.

“Working with my old friend Sam Raimi on the new Doctor Strange, which is super fun. Sam and I go back a long way,” Elfman said in his post. As you can see, that sure looks like the iconic yellow brick road from “The Wizard of Oz.”

Does this mean Dr. Strange will head to Oz? Is it a possible connection to Wanda Maximoff’s imaginary worlds brought to life in “WandaVision?”

We can’t wait to find out!

There’s also every possibility that Bruce Campbell is showing up in “Doctor Strange” as well.

“Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness” is currently slated to hit theaters sometime in March 2022.
