No for real though- “Avatar 2” has an official title! And, actual real footage was just screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas!

“Avatar: The Way of Water” is the official title.

The footage shown today will be attached to Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” next month. It’ll release to the general public a week after that.

It's been 12 years but I can now say that footage from Avatar 2 exists! It's called AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER. And we just saw the teaser trailer. It'll debut exclusively in theater with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It'll be online a week later. #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/AVxXaN9LQJ

Director James Cameron was joined on stage by producer John Landau. The pair ALSO revealed that “Avatar,” the groundbreaking film, will get a theatrical re-release ahead of “The Way of Water.” It’ll also be getting a remaster of picture and sound.

“We wanted to push the limits of what theaters can do.”

    This story is developing…
