Sounds like production start on Bond, James Bond 25 is getting pushed back a month, but won’t have an impact on the already-announced release date.
According to Steven Weintraub, Editor-in-Chief at Collider, cinematographer Linus Sandgren confirmed to him a production start date on the Cary Joji Fukunaga-directed Bond 25 in April rather than the original March date.
Weintraub says the release date for the film is still holding on February 14th 2020, and we totally agree with him about not being able to wait to see what Fukunaga does with the franchise.
just ran into cinematographer Linus Sandgren. He’s hard at work prepping Bond 25 with Cary Joji Fukunaga. They start shooting in April with a February 14, 2020 release date. Can’t wait to see a Fukunaga Bond movie. pic.twitter.com/dmoB39U432

Back in December, Fukunaga spoke with the Philippine Daily Inquirer about what he’s bringing to the 007 realm, and it really did make us more excited about this take on the MI6 agent with a License to Kill:
“In terms of what I can bring to change the character, Bond is on a character arc that started with ‘Casino Royale,’ and I will be carrying that on. There will be changes, I am sure. As in any story, a character has to change in order [to have] a narrative.”
We’re expecting to hear additional news about casting and possible settings in the coming month.
