Party City, once the thriving one-stop-shop for all our celebratory needs, is gone. The company announced the closure of all stores via a meeting Friday morning. CNN reports CEO Barry Litwin told corporate employees the company is “winding down” operations immediately. It means today, Friday, December 20th, will be their last day of employment. Shocking no one, Paramount Pictures is apparently fast-tracking a fourth “Sonic The Hedgehog” live-action film. This comes after the third installment in the franchise outgrossed Disney’s live-action “The Lion King” prequel, “Mufasa,” to the tune of $60 million to $50 million. What’s surprising is that “Sonic The Hedgehog 3” has garnered better reviews that both it’s predecessors combined. All three films have been directed by Jeff Fowler, with Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.
