“Ash VS The Evil Dead”: STARZ Releases First Look

We are still stupidly excited for this new series from STARZ network.  I mean did you guys ever think you’d see an Evil Dead tv series?!?  True, it’s only going to be a mini series, but the project is reuniting Bruce “The Chin” Campbell and Sam Raimi.

First announced back in December, the news has been coming slowly, not unlike the crawling zombies.  Lucy Lawless has also been announced as part of the show, and today, we get our first look at what STARZ is going for:

The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Burn Notice) in the role of Ash Williams, Lucy Lawless (Xena, BSG, Salem) as Ruby a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks, Jill Marie Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of her partner, Ray Santiago (Touch, Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past.

This teaser will premiere on-air during the Outlander premiere on Saturday, April 4th. Ash vs Evil Dead which will film in New Zealand, and is set to premiere on STARZ in late 2015.
