    This just in-

it looks like yet another anticipated series isn’t going forward. A series based in Matt Reeves‘ “The Batman” universe covering Arkham Asylum is reportedly dead at MAX. (HOWEVER, additional claims have said it was simply going to be “set in the DCU,” not specifically Reeves’ universe.)

Originally announced in 2022, Antonio Campos was going to serve as showrunner and head writer for the project, which was being developed for HBO’s streaming service, MAX. As of today, according to Variety, the series is no longer happening with Campos. Now, this could very well mean it gets shopped elsewhere, or that another showrunner will step in and pick it up.

Obviously “The Penguin is still happening, with the Colin Ferrell-led drama set to hit in September of 2024.

We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

    This story is developing…
