USAToday’s TV Editor Gary Levin tweeted that ABC Network President Karey Burke commented that she “wouldn’t mind seeing” a LOST reboot at ABC during the network’s TCA (Television Critics Association) Winter Press Tour panel.

ABC programming chief on #Lost: “That is a reboot I’d be interested in seeing.”

Levin quickly followed up his tweet saying that Burke was just “musing”:

No, it’s actually not. She was musing about it after showing a clip of ABC’s greatest hits. https://t.co/4hv6f1ZPAW

Daniel Fienberg, TV critic for The Hollywood Reporter and President of the TCA commented:

“I would like that very much. That is a reboot I would be interested in seeing,” Karey Burke says of “Lost,” making sure that every headline from this press conference will be “ABC Open To ‘Lost’ Reboot.” Sigh. #TCA19

The context of Burke’s “Lost” comment was a clip package that included the “We have to go back” scene and a reporter asking if we should take anything from that. No “Lost” reboot is *actually* in development [except that I’m sure 150 writers in Hollywood have one in a drawer].

This isn’t the first time news of a possible LOST reboot has been discussed in the last year, as Carlton Cuse commented about what would make him interested in a revisit:

“I would be fine if ABC hired somebody who
had a good idea involving other characters that go to the island at some other point
in time. I would be less excited if they wanted to use the characters that we had in our show.”

ABC’s TCA is happening now, keep an eye out for updates.
