[Rumor] About Those Possible ‘Star Wars’ Disney+ Character Series…

You can’t swing an Ewok slingshot without hitting a Star Wars rumor, especially where Disney+ streaming service future plans are concerned. We know the family-focused offerings already have two Cosmic Conflict series in various stages of production- Jon Favreau‘s The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal, and the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spinoff series about Captain Cassian Andor which will star Diego Luna.

[Rumor] About Those Possible 'Star Wars' Disney+ Character Series…

The current trench run of rumors include additional characters Disney+ could possibly be looking at for breakout series and inclusion in whatever other shows are being planned.

Again, these are rumors, so take them with a few grains of Crait salt.

According to our friends over at Star Wars Underworld (who did a great job of playin’ Galactic Rumor Round Up), both We’ve Got This Covered and HN Entertainment have their own theories of possible characters who may pop up in future Disney+ series.

We’ve Got This Covered mentioned Lando Calrissian, Qi’Ra, Finn, and Poe Dameron as likely characters getting the solo series treatment. They offered no sources for this information however, so, we’ll believe it when we see it.

HN Entertainment, who at least have the professional courtesy to say “our sources”, have a different character list for possible solo series, and we’re here for it- Princess Leia (young), Captain Phasma, The Knights of Ren, Rose Tico, Sith Lord Darth Bane. Darth Bane being a weird choice, but, the others are interesting.

If a Young Leia series is in the works, we hope Disney recalls that Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things and Godzilla: King of the Monsters would make a PERFECT future-general, and the addition of a young Amilyn Holdo wouldn’t be amiss. (Or, using Claudia Grey‘s “Journey to Star Wars Leia Princess of Alderaan” as a story-base.)

In any case, we should be hearing more about when the streaming service will launch The Mandalorian sometime in April.

We’ll let you know if we hear any real evidence of the likelihood of any of these spinoff series happening.

May the Force be with you.
