    ESPN Releases “Space Jam 2” Bunny and the GOAT Featurette

    Someone REALLY wants “Space Jam: A New Legacy” to be treated seriously. We assume this because last night, EPSN released a special “30 for 30” short episode based on The Bunny, and The GOAT. The GOAT, ‘greatest of all time,’ refers to LeBron James in this instance, and The Bunny is obviously the one and only Bugs Bunny.

    Clocking in at six minutes, 20 seconds, this short featurette- almost a mockumentary, really- teases James’ motivations for joining the Tune Squad battle against the The Goon Squad!

    James stars alongside Oscar nominee Don Cheadle (“Avengers“), Khris Davis (“Judas and the Black Messiah”), Sonequa Martin-Green (“Star Trek: Discovery”), newcomer Cedric Joe, Jeff Bergman (“Looney Tunes Cartoons”), Eric Bauza (“Looney Tunes Cartoons”), and Zendaya (“Dune”).

    Malcolm D. Lee directs, with assistant from “an innovative filmmaking team” including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter.

    “ESPN 30 for 30 presents, The Bunny & The GOAT, where LeBron James faces the biggest challenge of his career as he teams up with the Tune Squad to save his son, the Looney Tunes, and their universe. Can LeBron and the Tune Squad defeat The Goon Squad to save his son? Only time will tell… welcome to the Space Jam!“

    “Space Jam: A New Legacy” releases on July 16th, 2021 theatrically and on HBO Max.
