First of all, that was a really fun title to type.  Second of all, this ‘news’ is still pretty deep in rumor territory.

We all know that Marvel and Sony reached an agreement about sharing Webhead for upcoming films, right?  Ok.  The general consensus is that Spider-Man, as played by Tom Holland, will make his first MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) appearance in Captain America: Civil War.  The NEW possible theory is that Academy Award winner Marisa Tomei will be playing Peter Parker’s much beloved relative, Aunt Mae.

Historically, Aunt Mae is usually depicted as an older woman, more like a grandmother figure than aunt.  But, in the new Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, she’s a youngin.

Many sources are saying Tomei has been approached, but neither Sony nor Marvel have commented on the casting possibility.
