“X-Men”: FOX Says “Legion”, “Hellfire Club” Headed To TV

I never thought I’d live in a world where Daredevil, Supergirl, The Flash, and SHIELD all had their own tv series.  Live-action tv series, I should specify.  I cannot contain my giddiness with the most recent announcement FOX made regarding their plans to bring the X-Men back to the small screen on FX.

Deadline is reporting FX has given a pilot order to Legion, written/executive produced by Fargo creator Noah Hawley.  The early reports are this story will follow Charles Xavier’s son, David Haller.

Fox has also closed deals to develop Hellfire created by Evan Katz (24: Live Another Day), Manny Coto (24), Patrick McKay (Star Trek 3) and JD Payne (Star Trek 3).  This means we may well see Emma Frost, Sebastian Shaw, Jason Wyngard, and MAYBE EVEN MADELYNE PRYOR.  Best idea ever Fox!  Don’t mess this up!

Something to keep in mind is neither series will have the  X-Men films branding, though both are set in the same universe and both stem from 20th Century Fox’s Marvel deal for the rights to the X-Men franchise.
