“X-Men”: ‘New Mutants’ Spinoff Film A GO!

It truly feels like the golden age of comic based films and tv series, doesn’t it?  Some are better than others of course, but every new title holds the promise of decades of funny-papers brought to life.

The next title in the comic-to-film adaptation line is none other than X-Men secondary title, The New Mutants.  Variety is reporting that Fox has announced Josh Boone (The Fault In Our Stars) as the director for New Mutants, which introduces several new characters to the “X-Men” movie universe.  Boone has very few titles to his credit, and this could be a plus.  So often, we set expectations on projects by the fruits of director’s labors, and perhaps this young personality will be just what the X-gene ordered!

We’ll let you know as this story progresses, and if/when casting starts happening.
