It is no secret many of our favorite young mutants from X-Men are getting recast for the upcoming 6th (no, we’re not counting Wolverine/Origins) film in the franchise.

It looks like Kodi Smit-McPhee (Paranorman, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) will be taking on the role of young Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler.  Fans of the character from the comics know his parentage, and I’m really curious to see if they keep with that in the films.

The announcement came from Bryan Singer’s instagram:

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open May 27, 2016.
