Happy Valentine’s Day indeed, for fans of “Outlander.” As announced by the STARZ historical romance fantasy series, we’re getting another big change for the upcoming super-sized seventh season. Based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon, the show has reinvented it’s beautiful theme and title sequence each year. Emmy winning composer Bear McCreary has done it again, this time bringing in the iconic Irish voice of Sinead O’Connor for “The Skye Boat Song.“

“We are honored to have Sinéad O’Connor performing ‘The Skye Boat Song,'” showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts said. “Her rendition is, for me, a reminder of all that’s beautiful about Outlander. She is talented beyond measure. Hers is a voice of the ages — one which pierces heart and soul — and embodies the spirit of the show.”

While we don’t have a release date for season 7 yet, we do know that it will be a whopping 16 episodes. Season 8 will be the final one for the series. At least one spinoff has already been greenlit.

You can watch (and listen to!) the “Outlander” season 7 title sequence now:
