We are so excited to share the official first look at Leslie Grace as Batgirl! Grace was first announced as playing the DC Comics hero in July of 2021.

This first look was posted by Leslie Grace to her various social media pages along with a line from comic Batgirl: Year One.

“I use their expectations against them. That will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me…And when their guard is down, and their pride is rising, let me kick their butts.” – Batgirl, Year One

Her suit sure looks like the Babs Tarr version, as seen in Batgirl Vol. 1: Batgirl of Burnside.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing from a script by Christina Hodson. Leslie Grace will star as Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl. J.K. Simmons will reprise his role as Commissioner Gordon. Michael Keaton will return as Batman. Brendan Fraser is also on cast, as the villain.

“Batgirl” will reportedly release on HBO Max sometime in 2022.
