    Earlier today, HBO Max announced that “Game of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” would indeed be premiering in 2022. Shortly thereafter, 9 brand new images from the show were released.

    Based on the works of George RR Martin, “House of the Dragon” will focus on the Targaryens during the Dance of the Dragons. The main story takes place two centuries before the War of the Five Kings, which was covered in “Game of Thrones.”

    It’ll hit HBO Max starting August 21st, 2022.
