    TV News: Shipp Joins CW’s “The Flash”

    John Wesley Shipp

    “Through a freak accident, scientist Barry Allen is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive.”

    We are pleased to announce that John Wesley Shipp (who played Barry Allen/The Flash in the 1990s TV series) has joined the cast of The CW and Warner Bros. Television’s pilot THE FLASH.  The confirmed cast as of right now also includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Rick Cosnett as Detective Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, with Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective West.

    Shipp will guest star in the pilot in a mystery role, with the part intended to be a recurring guest star in series.

She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (News Editor), Nerdbot (as Editor-In-Chief), and now [Bad]Influencers, where she is Editor-in-Chief. Over the past 15 years, she’s built a well-known reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band. She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
