We’ve done a lot of talking about Big Wow! Comic Fest in San Jose California, and that’s because big things happen there!  The convention started out as a small art show, and has blossomed into a destination location for talent, artists, cosplayers, photographers, and fans to enjoy a show devoted to comics.

There were several panels highlighted during the weekend; the RPF (Replica Prop Forum) sponsored at least 2, Heroes Of Cosplay the SyFy show had a very well attended Saturday afternoon session, “They Say You Shouldn’t Cosplay” which tackled the various issues surrounding the hobby/lifestyle, and “The Men Of Cosplay”.

Featuring Harley’s Joker (Anthony Missiano), Jonathan Carroll of “Building A Superhero“, Kelly Mark Delcambre, moderator Valerie Perez, SoloRoboto Industries owner Steven Meissner, and artist/personality Dave Turner, this panel offered a unique view of the men who don costumes at conventions.

(The audio is from my phone, so it’s kind of crappy, and you’ll catch at least two moments of me talking to myself in case I was going to transcribe it, but the guys were so entertaining and eloquent, they do just fine representing themselves.)

    Check it out:

She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
