Submitted for your consideration by Bleeding Cool contributor, Ray Flook his thoughts on the latest episode of American Gods. So by the end of last week’s episode, The Secret of Spoon, Shadow was facing a long-yet-not-quite-long-enough night of introspective contemplation…that included trying to figure-out how to keep his noggin away from the business end of Czernobog’s big-ass hammer. Last week was the annual bloodletting by television networks with more than 50 series cancelled. Though the smoke, replacement shows have been firming up on the schedule and it looks like CBS is going the ultra-safe route by spinning up three new police and military-focused dramas. SWAT will be starring former Criminal Minds lead Shemar […]

Some are the leads, while others are the linchpins that keep everything from falling […]
In another skirmish in the ongoing cyberwars, one of Hollywood’s leading talent management agencies is the victim of a computer virus which has brought it’s internal network operations to a near-standstill. The United Talent Agency, with offices worldwide, was struck Monday, causing email, file access, and network communications in their Beverly Hills headquarters to shut […]
The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror has announced their 2017 nominations today, and the list is expansive to say the least with over 40 categories spanning television, film, streaming content, DVD/Blu-Rays, and one for the Los Angeles theater scene for good measure. On the upside, the casting for the role of Spock’s father, Sarek, has been announced and will be played by James Frain (Azrael on Fox’s Gotham). On the downside, production schedule issues seem to continue to plague the […]
It seems that enough is finally enough when it comes to the backlash that Adult Swim Overlord, Mike Lazzo, has been facing for their first-year series Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace. As reported by splitsider.com, the sketch show has been canceled after just one six episode season.
While Syfy’s latest series, Incorporated, isn’t a reboot of any previous properties, but with the number of tropes it draws from it feels like it might as well be. Take a healthy dose of 1997’s Gattica, and a mix of walled-garden variants (you know the ones, where a small community of have-everythings live segregated away from the rest of the have-nothing population), some Demolition Man, and a bit of Judge Dredd for good measure, and you’ve basically got the setup for Incorporated.
Perhaps the fourth time will be better than the third – Variety is reporting that Legendary Entertainment has secured the film and television rights for the classic science fiction Dune properties from the author’s estate.
