Surprise- “Jury Duty” Season 2 ‘Already Filmed,’ Coming Soon

One of our favorite surprise shows of the last few years was “Jury Duty.” If you haven’t seen it, we don’t want to ruin it. Just know, it’s the kind of charming and ridiculous feel-good comedy that will make you feel better after watching it. Especially because the ‘star,’ Ronald Gladden, is the type of person you hope to encounter at least once in your life.

It garnered several Emmy nominations, including outstanding comedy, writing and casting for comedy, and a supporting actor nod for James Marsden. Marsden starred alongside Gladden, Alan Barinholtz, Susan Berger, Cassandra Blair, Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola, David Brown, Kirk Fox, Ross Kimball, Pramode Kumar, Trisha LaFache, Mekki Leeper, Brandon Loeser, Edy Modica, Kerry O’Neill, Whitney Rice, Maria Russell, Ishmel Sahid, Ben Seaward, Ron Song, and Evan Williams.

While Gladden and co won’t be returning in season 2 of the show (if you watch season 1, you’ll understand why), the series IS coming back.

The announcement came this week, with Amazon Prime Video revealing the second season is already completed. There was also an unconfirmed plot reveal. It will apparently be a “David vs. Goliath theme.”

Season 1 of “Jury Duty” originally aired on FreeVee, but since that add-free service was absorbed back into the parent company, season 2 will hit Prime Video. (You can also watch season 1 on Prime Video!)
