Looks like Netflix is pretty happy with The Simpsons creator Matt Groening‘s other animated series, Disenchantment. The adult-oriented fantasy series just got picked up for a second season from the streaming service-studio, proving that critical reviews aren’t everything that factors into a renewal.

The series focuses on Princess Bean, voiced by Abbi Jacobson, who is NOT your typical fantasy royal. She drinks, she fights, she runs away from home and makes friends with feisty elf  Elfo, voiced by Nat Faxon. They’re joined by Bean’s personal demon (no really) Luci, voiced by Eric Andre.

There is of course a multitude of other fantasy based characters who appear during the journey, and some familiar voice talent show up as well including John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.

A 20-episode second season is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2020 and 2021.
