One of my favorite space badasses is returning to the great unknown this summer thanks to Netflix and “Another Life”. Katee Sackhoff, probably most well-known for her incredible performance as the reinvented character of pilot Starbuck on Ronald D. Moore’s “Battlestar Galactica,” Sackhoff has never let me down in a role.

I’ve had the distinct pleasure of interviewing her several times, as well as moderating her during Silicon Valley Comic Con in 2018, and lemme tell you about her wicked sense of humor along with her laser-focused professionalism. I adore her, and I’m so thrilled to see “Another Life” coming to Netflix.

When a mysterious alien Artifact lands on Earth, Commander Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) has to lead humanity’s first interstellar mission to its planet of origin, while her husband (Justin Chatwin, “Shameless”) tries to make first contact with the artifact back on earth. Another Life explores the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love.

    The Cast:

Katee Sackhoff is astronaut Niko Breckinridge- who is focused on searching for alien intelligence and leading a crew on a mission to explore the origins of an alien artifact after it lands on Earth.

Selma Blair is Harper Glass- a 21st-century influencer who uses journalism, social media, and keen intelligence in an attempt to break one of the biggest stories in human history.

Tyler Hoechlin (Supergirl) is Ian Yerxa- the one-time commander of the space exploration ship who lost his post to Breckenridge

Justin Chatwin is Erik Wallace- part of the United States Interstellar Command, and Niko’s husband.

Samuel Anderson‘s (Trollied) is William- a holographic interface of a sentient A.I.

Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead) is Cas Isakovic- Niko’s second-in-command and staunchest ally.

Jessica Camacho (The Flash) is Michelle Vargas- the exploratory spacecraft’s brutally honest communications expert.

Alex Ozerov (Orphan Black), Jake Abel (Supernatural), and Barbara Williams(Rookie Blue) also star.

The 10-episode first season of “Another Life” is set to hit Netflix on July 25th 2019.
