We are so freaking delighted to share the news that Kalinda Vazquez (“Star Trek: Discovery“) has been tapped by Paramount Pictures to pen a brand new “Star Trek” movie script. She will be the first female writer to pen a “Star Trek” film script.
Vazquez, who indeed DID get her name from a season 2 episode of “Star Trek: TOS” (“By Any Other Name”) is no stranger to the final frontier, having written “Star Trek: Discovery” episode “Terra Firma” as well as producing several episodes, is a fabulous choice.
No details about the film are really known yet, other than JJ Abrams‘ Bad Robot will indeed be producing the film.
Congratulations Kalinda!
