Long rumored, the first trailer for Justice League: Dark was released at Comic Con 2016.  We’re still kind of holding out hope this means Warner Brothers will continue with their animated features, even after the sh*tstorm that has come after the release of The Killing Joke.

Here is the sneak peek of JLD:

We couldn’t be more excited to see John Constantine voiced by Matt Ryan!!  Like, beyond words excited because that single season NBC show Constantine was amazing. Looks like we ALSO get a line up of Black Orchid, Etrigan, Zatanna, Deadman, and Swamp Thing.

And of course we’ll get Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Green Lantern; couldn’t really call it “Justice League” anything without them, right?  Theoretically, they’ll be in as supporting characters, because the magical masters of the DC house will be the main focus of the “Dark” storyline. No word on who the “big bag” will be yet.

Jason O’Mara continues his work as the voice of Batman, Tomb Raider voice actress Camilla Luddington voices Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro is Boston Brand and Ray Chase voices Etrigan.  No word yet on who’s provide the voice for Swamp Thing.

No stranger to the animated world of Dc Comics, the feature will be directed by Jay Oliva.  He’s directed no less than 10 episodes of Young Justice, 5 Batman animated films, and 2 previous Justice League titles.

One can only hope this feature measures up to previous animated releases such as the Kerri Russell voiced Wonder Woman, which remains one of the best DC Comics cartoon movies this side of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

We can expect to see Justice League: Dark sometime later this year, with a possible theatrical release as well as physical media.  We’ll of course let you know as soon as we get confirmation on any of this.
