    HBO, Netflix Reach Historic Licensing Deal for Streaming Content

    We’d previously reported on a possible teaming up of two major players in the streaming game. HBO, which is under the per-view of Warner Bros. Discovery, was entering into negotiations with industry giant Netflix to possibly license some of those big HBO titles for their platform. It’s kind of a big deal, considering HBO has it’s own streaming service, Max.

    However as we know, Max has had what some would call…a rocky start. The parent company too has been suffering loss after loss, resulting on the scrapping of major projects right and left.

    The news this morning is HBO original series “Insecure,” “Band of Brothers,” “The Pacific,” “Six Feet Under,” and “Ballers” are all headed to Netflix. “True Blood” is also included, but will only be available to will be Netflix outside the U.S..

    We’ll let you know when these titles will make their way to Netflix.
