    “Gotham”: First Look At Paul Rubens As Penguin’s Dad

    In another example of pretty darn perfect casting, FOX’s Batman prequel series Gotham has reenlisted Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman) in the role of  Oswald Cobblepot’s father.  You know, The Penguin?  Well, remember that Rubens previously played The Penguin’s father in Tim Burton’s  Batman Returns in 1992.

    Here is the first image from director Danny Cannon of Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald and Reubens from the set in New York:

    Anyhow, season 2 of the series has been subtitled “Rise of the Villains”, and considering what a colorful collection of characters Batman’s Rogues Gallery contains, we can’t wait to see who else shows up.

    Gotham returns for the back half of its second season to FOX on February 29th, 2016.
