Production is underway on the Child’s Play reboot which will be directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) from a script by Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury). Aubrey Plaza will be playing a mother who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a doll for his birthday, and is [obviously] unaware of its more sinister nature, and will also star Brian Tyree Henry.  There is not a release date yet, but we’ll let you know when we hear more.
