We are very pleased to report the news that Finn Wittrock (“American Horror Story“)has been tapped to bring “Green Lantern” to life for HBO Max. He’ll be playing Guy Gardner, one of the numerous Green Lanterns in DC Comics’ universe.

We’ll also see the very first Green Lantern in 1941, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott, then to 1984 with Guy Gardner and half-alien Bree Jatra. There have been teases of additional characters and even some new ones appearing in the show too.

HBO Max has already ordered 10 episodes of the show.

“Green Lantern” will be co-written and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Seth Grahame-Smith, and Marc Guggenheim. Grahame-Smith is also serving as showrunner. Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter, David Madden, and David Katzenberg also executive produce, with Elizabeth Hunter and Sara Saedi co-executive producing. Berlanti Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.

We don’t have any additional casting info yet, or a possible start for production. But we’ll let you know when we do.
