Factory Entertainment Unveils Limited “Dune” Crysknife

As you may have noticed, we are VERY into “Dune” around here. From Frank Herbert‘s seminal work of science fiction, David Lynch‘s classic 1984 feature film version, Bill Sienkiewicz‘s amazing comics for Marvel- all the way up to Denis Villeneuve‘s incredible “Dune Part One,” and the soon-to-be-released “Dune Part Two.” (The less said about the SYFY mini serieseseseses the better.)

Which brings us to Factory Entertainment’s newest items- a tin lunch box featuring classic “Dune” artwork, and a limited-edition Crysknife, ala Lynch’s film.

The Factory Entertainment team studied the original props and created a 3d model that perfectly captures the nuances of each, blended into a single execution. Cast from durable bone colored epoxy resin, each replica is then hand finished and weathered for the correct on-screen look. This painstaking process means that, like the original props, no two pieces are exactly identical. The Crysknife is limited to 750 pieces, and comes with the display stand shown above.

The tin lunchbox is everything I ever wanted as a kid! Okay I also was that nerd who wore a “Star Trek: TNG” fannypack everyday to school, so yes. I was bullied. A lot.

Both of these items along with MANY, many others are available on Factory Entertainment’s website now. “Dune Part Two” hits theaters March 1st.
