Don’t Mess With John Malkovich In New Squarespace Super Bowl Ad

Super Bowl LI is almost here, and one of our favorite parts of the Big Game is the commercials. Those crazy ads that companies spend crazy amounts of money on but are often some of the best of the year. They make us laugh, they make us cry, they make us scratch our heads as we try to figure what the heck they were just selling.

Squarespace has decided to let one of their ads out of the gate early, and it features none other than two time Academy Award Nominee John Malkovich. In it he discovers that someone else has already gaffed johnmalkovich.com, and as he says, “who the f*ck is John Malkovich!”

The whole spot is so amusingly self-aware, they even give a shout out to the Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman black comedy/fantasy film, Being John Malkovich.

If this spot is any indication, hopefully this year’s batch of commercials will give us something to smile at.
