Deadpool: Ryan Reynolds Shows Mask Prototype

Marvel fans were very excited when that grainy Deadpool trailer got ‘accidentally’ released just days before an official announcement was made. While yes, the footage was made to urge investors to support the project, the response from the Merc With A Mouth supporters was loud and plentiful.

It has of course been confirmed that Fox is making a solo Deadpool film, and that favorite Ryan Reynolds will indeed be playing Wade Wilson.  He tweeted this image today of the ‘mask prototype”, which really doesn’t show us much:

Sepia tone disguises the fact the mask is ballerina pink. It's early. 365 sleeps early. #deadpool #prototypes pic.twitter.com/PekFa2KS7S

Shortly thereafter, Deadpool comic writer Robert Liefeld posted this response:

For all the folks that have been asking, "Will Deadpool be in costume??" That's all you need right there. Putting Origins behind us…

Wonderful news if you ask me, because Wolverine: Origins was such a HORRIBLE movie.

The film will be directed by Tim Miller, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.  We can expect to see Deadpool in theaters around February 12, 2016.
