Charlie Cox Says [Again] He’d Love to be Daredevil Again

It used to be that no amount of wishful thinking in the guise of headlines from outlets would resurrect a series. Try as they might, fans just can’t get Netflix’s Marvel series back. That’s not to say the stars themselves aren’t interested in returning, either. Because Charlie Cox as least has been very vocal about wanting to return to Hell’s Kitchen as Daredevil.

Cox has said this, frequently and loudly, since “Marvel’s Daredevil” was cancelled after three seasons on the streaming giant. Of course with Marvel Studios properties one of the biggest draws for House of Mouse streaming service Disney+, it would seem at least plausible a reboot/revisit/something would happen for the Defenders.

He recently chatted with Jessica Shaw on SiriusXM, once again confirming he’d totally pick up the batons again if the opportunity arose.

“If there was an opportunity for me to come back as Daredevil, whatever that would look like, I imagine it would be a reimagining of the character and the show. If they choose me to do it, there are going to be some elements that are of course the same. Or they might choose someone else and reboot it all over again.”

Cox went on to address the multiverse in the room, reminding fans that a return might not be what they think it would.

“You’ve got to be careful what you wish for,” he said. “You come back and it’s not as good or it doesn’t quite work or it’s too much time has passed. It doesn’t quite come together in the same way. You don’t want to taint what you’ve already got. If we never come back, you’ve got these three great seasons and our third season was our best reviewed. So, the trajectory was up. I am tremendously proud and grateful for what we have.”

You can catch all 3 seasons of “Marvel’s Daredevil” on Netflix, and watch the full interview below.
