Casting is Open for 10-Episode “Fallout” Reality Series

We are living in the age of video game adaptations. From “The Last of Us” to the upcoming “Tomb Raider” and “God of War,” it feels like there isn’t a franchise that hasn’t been turned into a live-action series. Prime Video’s popular “Fallout” show continues plugging along, with a third season on the way. And now, the post-apocalyptic franchise is getting a reality competition series spinoff!

“Fallout Shelter” (working title) has been greenlit by the streaming for 10 episodes. Contestants will compete for an undisclosed cash prize in “escalating challenges, strategic dilemmas, and moral crossroads” all inside a Vault-Tec vault. You can apply for the series here.

Studio Lambert is producing with Jonathan Nolan and Joy’s Kilter Films, in association with Amazon MGM Studios and Bethesda Game Studios. No release date is known yet, but we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

A description for the series from the casting website:

“Fallout Shelter (working title) is a new reality competition series based on the hit Amazon drama and computer game of the same name. The dwellers (contestants) live together in a top-secret vault, where they will compete in a series of games that tests the seven core attributes from the Fallout world. Strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility and luck (S.P.E.C.I.A.L).

The series will not only test dwellers’ core attributes, but also their loyalty and alliances. It’s a game of power dynamics, popularity and social strategy which will ultimately result in a huge cash prize, but do you have what it takes to be the most S.P.E.C.I.A.L?.”
