Ladies and gentlemen, the title for the the Bond 25, the 25th entry into the 007 filmography is…still not set yet.

The announcement was live from Goldenye Jamaica, Sir Ian Fleming’s villa where Fleming actually wrote all of the novels and the very first Bond film Dr. No was filmed. Barbra Broccoli says Bond is not on active service in this film, he’s on vacation. “He starts his journey here, we’ve built a house for him here.”

Filming has already happened in Norway, and will commence in Jamaica soon, as well as in Italy after that, director Cary Joji Fukunaga confirmed. Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have all written the script.

Originally, Danny Boyle was set to direct Bond 25, but creative differences arose, and Cary Joji Fukunagatook over. We do know that Daniel Craig will be starring as MI6 agent James Bond once again. “Shatterhand” had been rumored as the official title, but seems to have been the working title for the flick.

Fukunaga will be the first Asian American to direct a feature in the world of the MI6 agent. In 2014, Fukunaga won an Emmy for his work helming the first season of True Detective, as well as multiple accolaids for 2015’s Beasts of No Nation. His upcoming work for Netflix can be seen in Maniac on the streaming service.

Fans were able to watch the announcement live on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube.

Currently, Bond 25 has a release date of April 8th 2020, and we’ll of course let you know if this changes.
