    “Blade Runner”: Sequel Gets Cinematographer

    Arguably one of the most stunning films ever made is getting a sequel.  We’ve known that for awhile now, rumors circulating about the Blade Runner 2nd film have been reaching fever pitches since right after Prometheus hit theaters.

    Today we have our first bit of concrete news about the return to Replicants and not-so-far-away futuristic Los Angeles.  12 time Oscar nominee Roger Deakins has just been named as the cinematographer for the yet untitled film.

    Not much is known about the sequel, other than yes, Harrison Ford will be returning as will Ridley Scott.  There have been some casting rumors regarding Ryan Gosling, but nothing has been confirmed yet.  Production is set to start sometime next year.
