This is perhaps the most anticipated and hyped teaser for Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday.” Rumored for months, the return of the Fox-era actors playing classic X-Men characters in comics-accurate costumes is worth the wait.

This teaser brings us to the ruins of the X Mansion. “Death comes for us all, it’s all I know for sure,” a voice says, as we pan around the familiar Home for Gifted Students. A chess game is going on between Professor X (Sir Patrick Stewart), and Magneto (Sir Ian McKellan). We see the two old friends turned foes turned friends(???) sitting together, and it’s a magical moment. Then, things get LOUD as we see James Marsden as Cyclops in full BLUE AND GOLD AWESOMENESS unleashing his optic blast.

The cast for “Avengers: Doomsday” includes (but is not limited to) Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Leticia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr..

It hits theaters December 18th, 2026.
