The most recent announcement has to do with the upcoming Justice League: Pt 1 as well as the Aquaman solo film, and more notably, who will be playing Arthur Curry’s wife Mera.  The character first appeared in 1963 in “Aquaman” #11, and has been a mainstay in the life of the King of Atlantis’s live ever since.

    Amber-Heard-Head-shot

Entertainment Weekly is reporting Amber Heard (Zombieland, Drive Angry) will be donning the green scales to swim the seas with Jason Mamoa.  Heard commented the Mera costume is currently being built, and described it as:

“Interesting…and strange. It’s like, half suit of armor, half scales.”

Justice League: Part One hits theaters on November 17, 2017. Aquaman is scheduled for release July 27, 2018.
