Chris Evans’ Dream Role is Madmartigan From ‘Willow’

We need a minute to process this idea, because it’s a pretty good albeit strange one. Over on Twitter this week, Chris Evans responded to a question posed by none other than Joseph Gordon Levitt about what role, across any film at any time, he’d want to play.

    Madmartigan from Willow?! Really?!

Evans’ response was surprising, and prompted a new art piece from BossLogic.

The role was originally played by Val Kilmer in Ron Howard‘s 1988 film, which also starred Warwick Davis in the title role.

Enter the world of “Willow.” Journey to the far corners of your imagination, to a land of myth and magic, where dream and reality live side by side … to a place that never existed, a time that never was. It is a world where a young man named Willow lives out an adventure that explodes beyond the boundaries of his own hopes and fears.

Howard and Davis have actually toyed around with the idea of a Willow sequel, the conversation picking up again back in 2017 as the pair reunited on Solo: A Star Wars Story when Howard stepped in to take over directing duties from Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Would you want to see another film set in the Willow[easyazon_link identifier=”B07JYQTLWF” locale=”US” tag=”bleedingcoo07-20″]WILLOW [Blu-ray][/easyazon_link] universe? Maybe with Chris Evans as Madmartigan? We sure would.
