Special effects master Tom Savini is creating a new mask for Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor for the upcoming tour to support the band’s new album.

As teased back in December of 2018, Taylor got to completely geek out while visiting Savini’s shop.

There was this post from yesterday, of Taylor getting a facecast done, since he “can’t show you the mask yet”.

On the most recent episode of Dean Delray‘s “Let There Be Talk” podcast, Taylor goes deep into his personal history of the evolution of his masks, and what they mean to him. It’s a lengthy listen, but fans of the band should totally check it out, here.

Slipknot has announced a slate of UK, European tour dates (including the Download Festival) for this summer, but nothing in North America yet.
