We really hope some exec is watching Dave Bautista‘s Twitter feed, because this is a great idea. While certainly not my personal favorite film genre, I would actually LOVE to see Bautista in the flick he managed to pitch

He’s come a long way from his WWE days. Heck, he had a star-making turn in “Blade Runner: 2049” that really did surprise and delight, so why NOT a romcom? Here’s what the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star had to say:

Yes, we absolutely have to agree that this would be a GREAT idea. Considering Dave’s next big movies, Zack Snyder‘s “Army of the Dead” and Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune“ are both hitting streaming services. Although, we are hearing rumblings that due to “Godzilla vs. Kong,” WB may have “Dune” skip HBO Max and just open in theaters anyway. We’ll let you know how that works out. We’re just saying.

And what about Kristen Schaal? What does she have to say about this idea?

It's on my vision board you sweet dream chaser! https://t.co/rebygTSkMt

So, someone at Amazon or Hulu make this happen, ok?

“Army of the Dead” hits Netflix on May 14th, 2021. “Dune” will premiere on HBO Max (and theaters, fingers crossed) on October 1st, 2021.
