Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon was arrested along with 575 others at the #WomenDisobey protest at Capitol Hill. This, of course, is not her first time at a protest, as the actress has always been very outspoken in regards to politics and causes important to her.

The group was gathered at the Hart Office Building wrapped in foil blankets chanting “Abolish ICE” in efforts to demand an end to family detention for immigrants being detained at the US border.

Sarandon was tweeting from the June 28th protest:
Abolishing ICE & family separations/detention is bigger than either of us. If ur in D.C., please come out & march. #WomenDisobey https://t.co/BUupSCJ6Rv

And later she updated her Twitter to say “arrested”:
Arrested. Stay strong. Keep fighting. #WomenDisobey

The U.S. Capitol Police have said the arrested individuals were processed on the scene and released.
