Artist Mark Brooks knows all about the power of social media, and is using it this week to share his variant covers for New Mutants: Dead Souls with fans. Brooks posted on his Facebook yesterday the first cover, saying that there will be four in all, and that he’ll be sharing them (one a day) in a countdown format.

Here’s the first Illyana Rasputin/Magik cover:

Mark’s first cover post for the comic

    Mark writes:

My New Mutants #1 variant featuring Magik launches Monday Feb 26th at 11am EST on Comic Sketch Art! There are 4 variants with some being more rare than others. I’m revealing one cover a day between now and Friday leading up to the launch. First up is the regular variant we’re calling Origins.

The website with countdown clock is in the first comment so make sure to visit and bookmark for Monday! #NewMutants#Magik#Illyana#Marvel#Markbrooks

The countdown that Mark was talking about is here, with the prices listed for the covers.

Looks like the most pricey of the four will be a Hellfire variant, might be we’re gonna get some Darkchild cloven hoof action?

Mark posted cover #2 this morning, and it features a bit more demonic Illanya, with those horns starting to peek out of her hair and golden glowing eyes.

    Mark says:

My second New Mutants #1 variant featuring Magik launching Monday Feb 26th at 11am EST on Comic Sketch Art! There are 4 variants with some being more rare than others. This one is called Darkchild and will come as a virgin variant with no logo. I’m revealing one cover a day between now and Friday leading up to the launch.

Check back tomorrow and Friday for the final two covers.
