We are so thrilled to share the news that Disney+ previously announced series about Jennifer Walters, aka “She-Hulk,” just took a giant green step forward! No, it’s not casting yet, but hopefully that isn’t too far down the Marvel Comics-line.

This morning it was announced (and reported on by Deadline and others) that Kat Coiro (“Mozart in the Jungle, “Shameless“) is in final talks to direct the pilot, and possibly/probably additional episodes of the series.

“Rick and Morty” scribe Jessica Gao will be running the writers room, and we’re pretty excited to see what she’ll do with the character.

While we’re still not sure who’s playing the title character, we do know (thanks to Variety) that Marvel Studios Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo is open to the idea of stopping in:

“There’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in [the Disney Plus series] She–Hulk. If we come up with something good, that would be really interesting. Right now that’s about it. That’s all there is on the table.”

We’ll let you know what we hear about this and any other Marvel Studios or Disney+ news.
