Let’s caveat that if you intentionally don’t watch trailers for movies because you don’t want anything spoiled, then this isn’t the post for you. We’ve gone through the entire trailer frame by frame and picked out some of the most badass moments in there. Though really, you’ll want to go back and watch it for yourself if you haven’t yet. It looks like director Ridley Scott really wants to make it up to all of us fans for the disappointment that was Prometheus.
We’ve picked these images to start with, and added some color commentary to many of them for the thoughts that struck us as we watched the trailer. Then at the end we just had to turn two into animated gifs. Now you check out the images while we go back to watch the trailer once again.

- This is hard to see in a single frame. Remember the floaty DNA stuff from the beginning of Prometheus that changed the Engineer? This seems to be the same stuff, this time heading for a new host.

And as promised, here’s a few animated gifs for your sharing and viewing holiday pleasure. The first, the Covenant moving into orbit. The second, that age-old adage, when something alien and new starts to open up and move. Don’t just lean over and look into it. We all know what kind of things happen next; it never, in any film, ends well.
