We’re not really sure how to feel about this particular remake/reboot rumor, because why in the WORLD would you revisit 90’s action film “Twister?!” Seriously. Why.

According to Variety, that’s exactly what Universal Pictures is doing, with “Top Gun: Maverick,” “TRON: Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski being eyed to storm chase.

Our faces exactly in this moment.

The original 1996 “Twister” film of course starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton [RIP], as well as an all-star supporting cast of Jami Gertz, Carey Elwes, Lois Smith, Alan Ruck, and the late great Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Jan de Bont directed from a script by Anne-Marie Martin and Michael Crichton.

There’s only one question we’d ask- who would you cast to be The Extreme for a new generation of tornado enthusiasts?

Please don’t say Gerard Butler– he had his chance with “Geostorm.”

We’ll let you know what else we hear about this particular remake reboot rumor.
