    Later this week, the House of Mouse will draw back the curtain on additional details about their upcoming all-Disney-all-the-time streaming service, Disney+, during the annual D23 convention. Taking place in Anaheim this year, the event will host a panel all about Disney+ on Friday August 23rd at 3:30pm (we’re planning on being there, so keep an eye out for the updates as they come that day!).

    Just this morning, the official social media pages for the new service launched, as well as some fiscal plans for launch day that anxious subscribers will want to know.

    On November 12th 2019, the service will roll out, with a base fee of $6.99 per month, or a yearly fee of $69.99.

    You’ll be able to access the service with your paid account through the following:

    • Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV, and fully integrated with the Apple TV app (customers can subscribe to Disney Plus via in-app purchase);
    • Google’s Android phones, Android TV devices, Google Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices;
    • Microsoft Xbox One;
    • Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 4 and all of Sony’s Android-based TVs; and
    • Roku streaming players and Roku TV models.

    And of course, earlier this month Disney announced plans to introduce a bundled offering (also on November 12th) that combines Disney+, ESPN Plus and Hulu for $12.99 per month.

    • “From The Vault” titles
    • 2019’s “Lady and The Tramp” live-action film
    • All 21 Pixar films
    • All 23 Marvel Studios films
    • Original “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian”
    • All 11 “Star Wars” films [not including “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” which releases in theaters December 20th 2019], as well as animated series like “The Clone Wars,” and “Rebels”
    • 30 seasons of “The Simpsons”

    We’re pretty darn excited for the upcoming titles coming to the service following launch, like “The World According to Jeff Goldblum,” and of course all those Marvel Studios titles like “WandaVision,” “Falcon and The Winter Solider,” “What If?,”Loki,” “Hawkeye,” and the live-action non-scripted series.

    Those non-scripted series are:

    • “Marvel’s Hero Project” reveals the remarkable, positive change several young heroes are making in their own communities. These inspiring kids have dedicated their lives to selfless acts of bravery and kindness, and now, Marvel celebrates them as the true Super Heroes they are.
    • “Marvel’s Hero Project” is produced by Marvel New Media in partnership with Maggievision Productions. Executive Produced by Joe Quesada, Stephen Wacker, Shane Rahmani, Liza Wyles and Sarah Amos for Marvel and Maura Mandt and John Hirsch for MaggieVision Productions.
    • “Marvel’s 616” (working title) is an anthological documentary series exploring the intersection between Marvel’s rich legacy of stories, characters and creators and the world outside your window. Told through the lens of a diverse group of filmmakers, each documentary will dive into the rich historical, cultural and societal context that has become inseparable from stories of the Marvel Universe. “Marvel’s 616” (working title) is part of Disney+’s exclusive multi-year production agreement with David Gelb (“Chef’s Table,” “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”), Brian McGinn (“Chef’s Table,” “Amanda Knox”) and Jason Sterman (“13th,” “Five Came Back”) of Supper Club. The series is produced in partnership with Marvel New Media. Executive Produced by Joe Quesada, Stephen Wacker, Shane Rahmani, John Cerilli, Harry Go and Sarah Amos for Marvel and David Gelb, Brian McGinn and Jason Sterman for Supper Club.

    We’ll of course let you know what else we hear about the service during this week’s D23 event.
