Mark Millar Thinks Taron Egerton Will be Next Wolverine?

Okay so, you know those times when creators are being sarcastic online and we can’t tell if their serious or not? This tweet from Mark Millar is definitely one of those kinda moments.

Millar, who is currently hip-deep in developing a slew of projects for Netflix (among other things) has an interesting idea for who will take on the role of Wolverine following Hugh Jackman’s departure.

From 2002. Always remember I'm never wrong. PS Taron Egerton will be the next Wolverine 🙂 https://t.co/6OtsLbnWqu

Taron Egerton, the Brit who led the first two “Kingsman” films as well as proved his performance prowess in “Rocketman,” is an interesting choice to say the least.

We know he’s got the physical stamina to pull off top notch Hollywood stunts, but how is he with body hair?

We think maybe this is likely a tongue-in-cheek comment on Millar’s part, especially considering Taron’s response to said comment:

“That one I think is just a rumour. As far as I’m aware it’s unfounded. I don’t know if I’m quite grisly enough.

I mean if the people at Marvel think I am then great, let’s go. But I think there are probably better candidates. But I would love to be involved with that world somewhere.”

Anyhow- who would YOU want to see as the next Wolverine?

You can see Taron next in Netflix’s “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” as Gelfling Rian, which hits the streaming giant on August 30th 2019.
